i think what you envision coming here is that you'll have A Better Life & ultimately, that pans-out to be true; however, the one colossal aspect of your life, the social one, can take a while or even a lifetime to get out of Hell. Islam is not interpretable. Sadly people trying to interpret with their own political agendas which is what leads deviations and what leads to negative stereotypes about muslims. While it's true some are less religious than others. Islam is different to other religions like Christianity because it is not interpretable. Different Christians will tell you the bible means different things. But thanks to Hadith and tafsir we know what is meant in the Quran. The problems arises when people ignore that and then misinterpret the Qur'an for their own agenda.

It’s very tough navigating this country as a non white person. Imagine also having dark skin. The oppressive system of white supremacy permeates all levels of society. In fact the country is structured to always benefit white peoples most. Colorism is a tool of oppression and control. Divide and conquer. Only uniting as a society we can hope to achieve and prosper.
